About Emily Liu
Emily is a student who finds her purpose in connecting with those around her, listening to their stories, and helping them create positive change in their lives and communities. These passions ultimately led her to a career in dentistry, which she is currently pursuing as a first year dental student at the University of Florida College of Dentistry.As an undergraduate at the University of Florida, she worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Department of Microbiology and Cell Science and also as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the Department of Chemistry. Overall, these experiences have fostered her skills in quantitative research, scientific writing, problem solving, and analytical thinking.One of her lifelong interests is community service. Having grown up in Gainesville and received the opportunity to continue her education there at the University of Florida, she has extensive experience with several organizations and leadership roles to serve the local community, such as Director of Community Service of her sorority.Her main interests are community outreach, patient advocacy, and continuous education.
