At the small nonprofit Alabama Dance Theatre, I manage fundraising, oversee office activity, handle payroll, and organize and schedule meetings for staff/faculty, parents, and the ADT Committee. I organize ADT\'s dancers\' and faculty\'s travel and participation in Regional Dance America\'s annual festivals. I work closely with our Artistic Director to promote ADT events, maintain donor relationships, and manage the ADT faculty and staff. I work closely with AD and faculty to develop each season\'s class schedule, have schedules printed and mailed, and to promote enrollment in ADT classes. I administer and organize scheduling, staffing, and management of Community Day enrichment days, collaborating with other arts groups when possible. I work with local theaters to schedule and reserve theatre space for multiple performances each season, and manage the ADT online box office and ticket sales at performances. I work closely with volunteers on Costume, Education, Development, Hospitality, Box Office, Guest Artists, Housing, Publicity, and Cast Party Committees. I proof printed programs, social media posts, and email communications. I write and administer grants, I secure corporate and foundation support, and coordinate an annual fundraising mailing campaign. I serve on the Board of Regional Dance America as a Director at Large and the Board of the Montgomery Arts Council. I have served as a Grant Review panelist for the Alabama State Council on the Arts.

ABOUT EMILY FLOWERS
I am a Montgomery native - and a former Company dancer with the Alabama Dance Theatre. After working in commercial real estate with a focus on investment property analysis and property management, my lifelong passion for the arts and arts administration led me to study art and antiques appraisal at Pratt Institute. Coming from Troy University as University Media Development Coordinator, I am the former Director of Development at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts and the former Managing Director of the Cloverdale Playhouse. As a dance student at ADT, I studied under Kitty Seale, Haynes Owens, Dame Sonya Arova, and Leslie-Jane Pessemier, along with other guest teachers and choreographers, and attended two summer sessions at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York on partial scholarships. I am a graduate of Montgomery Academy and the University of Alabama with an honors degree in English and Philosophy. I took Certified Commercial Investment Member real estate valuation courses during my years in commercial real estate. My interests include teambuilding, fundraising, creative problem solving, collaboration, innovation, streamlining, learning, and sharing knowledge and resources to enhance life and strengthen community. My background allows me to explore and leverage the intersection of the artistic and the business worlds: nonprofit arts management. I am truly happy to be home at the Alabama Dance Theatre to carry on its mission.
