ABOUT EMILY M. DIKKEN
Experience in youth mental health care, systems of education, office administration, human resources, and family support. I have experience working in live-in mental health treatment, as well as the education system providing developmental therapy, and educational support. I provide front-line interventions, skilled in situations of crisis, talk therapy, and behavioural regulation strategies. I continue to work with a diverse demographic of young people, implementing fundamentals of intersectionality, advocacy of cultural awareness and strength-based approaches. I bring with me lived experience, clinical insights, community engagement, a wide-range skill-set, and academic qualifications to the workplace as a child and youth care practitioner.
