About Emily Denero

I’m a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, specializing in Marketing, with a minor in Fashion and Retail Studies. I currently work at Ross Stores as an Assistant Buyer, where I bring a strong blend of analytical thinking and creative instinct to the retail space. As a 2024 Fashion Scholarship Fund Scholar, I was recognized for my work in fashion marketing, developing a forward-thinking case study that reflects my passion for innovative brand storytelling and the future of retail. My experience spans buying, merchandising, and creative brand development, shaped by my time as an Assistant Buyer at Ross Stores and a Fashion Intern at JQN The Label. Across these roles, I’ve built a strong foundation in trend forecasting, product strategy, and translating brand vision into compelling, consumer-driven narratives. In addition to my professional experience, I’ve taken on leadership roles as Apparel Chair for Ohio State Women’s Soccer Club and Secretary of the Business of Retail Association, where I’ve led creative initiatives and strengthened my ability to collaborate and execute at a high level. My study abroad experience at Audencia in Nantes, France further expanded my global perspective and deepened my understanding of international markets. I’m driven by a passion for blending creative direction with business strategy to shape impactful brand stories.
