My responsibilities include- Facilitating Multidisciplinary Reviews: Convening and coordinating diverse teams of stakeholders, including public health officials, law enforcement, healthcare providers, and community organizations, to conduct in-depth reviews of overdose deaths- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyzing overdose trends, contributing factors, and demographic data to identify systemic gaps and patterns, and presenting findings in clear, actionable formats- Developing Policy Recommendations: Using insights from reviews to propose evidence-based strategies for overdose prevention, harm reduction, and equitable health outcomes- Community Engagement and Advocacy: Building relationships with community partners and populations impacted by overdose, ensuring their voices and experiences inform review processes and prevention efforts- Training and Capacity Building: Educating stakeholders on overdose trends, harm reduction practices, and the implementation of life-saving interventions, such as naloxone distribution and fentanyl test strips- Interagency Collaboration: Strengthening coordination between public health, criminal justice, housing, and social service systems to enhance prevention efforts and mitigate the impact of overdose- Grant and Resource Management: Securing and managing funding for overdose prevention initiatives and distributing resources, such as naloxone kits, to at-risk communities.
