About Emily Kain

A graduate of LSU (Bachelors) and University of New Orleans (Masters), I started my professional career as an external auditor with Deloitte. Realizing people were my true passion, I transitioned into HR and campus recruiting with Deloitte in 2007. From 2008 – 2014, I worked in the oil and gas industry, both for an oilfield service company and a major oil company, in various HR and supply chain management roles: talent acquisition, university relations, employee development, contract negotiation, and global procurement. Prior to joining the HR team at Stewart Title, a global real estate services company, in October 2014, I lived and worked in the Middle East and Norway. Currently, as of February 2020, I serve as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Stewart Title focusing on the attraction, retention and professional development of our 7,200+ global employees. Our vision as a global HR team is to make Stewart a destination for industry leading talent while fostering a culture of ownership and employee effectiveness with a focus on winning together.Since appointment to the CHRO role, I have been focused on leading the organization in the areas of talent management, organizational design and succession planning, performance management, inclusion and belonging, total rewards, and all aspects of HR operations transformation. I also lead the marketing, corporate communications and community relations functions, and serve as President of The Stewart Title Foundation, Inc. and an essential member of both Stewart’s Global Inclusion Council and Sustainability Executive Leadership Council.Outside of work, I enjoy traveling to and dining in new places around the world, practicing yoga, and spending time with my family, friends and pets.
