ABOUT EMILY ANGELINO
A former White House intern for the Second Gentleman and an interim intern for the Policy and Speechwriting offices, I have a strong passion for government work. I am particularly interested in refugee protection and combatting religious discrimination, evident in my work for Human Rights First\'s Project: Afghan Legal Assistance (PALA) and on Capitol Hill for Congressman Adriano Espaillat [D-NY-13], where I wrote legislation on humanitarian aid. Outside of my government work, I am a dual B.A. and Master\'s student at Columbia University triple majoring in Political Science, Human Rights, and Religion (Islam) with a 3.95 GPA at Barnard College and receiving my Master of International Affairs (M.I.A.) with a Concentration in International Security Policy and two Specializations in International Conflict Resolution and the Middle East at Columbia SIPA.
