ABOUT EMILY BUTLER

Curious by nature, friends often joke that I\'m a bit of an interrogator. Every conversation brings up new ideas, and questions to be answered. I love to talk and to listen, and asking questions is my way of showing I care. I started my career working in tech startup acceleration, helping new entrepreneurs to validate their business ideas and build a foundation for success. Now, I work in sales development (or as I like to call it,\"customer discovery\") at CoLab Software, where I spend my days seeking out, chatting with, and learning from the most innovative engineers in their industries. CoLab exists to help engineers design better products, faster. And I\'m lucky to get to be one of our first intro points to the forward-thinking engineering leaders who are passionate about empowering excellence on their teams. Main things to know about me: I\'m passionate about learning from others, and always love to chat I do my best to be straight-forward and honest: if I don\'t understand, I always ask for clarification I understand that not everyone communicates in the same way that I do, and want to make sure mutual respect comes first in any conversation When I\'m interested, I reach out.
