About Emily Y.

Senior undergraduate at Johns Hopkins University studying Materials Science & Engineering with minors in Applied Mathematics & Statistics and Energy. I’m interested in building a more mindful, cleaner future through disrupting current food and energy systems and innovating sustainable materials. My research interests lie in computational modeling, self-assembly, and advanced materials for energy harvesting/storage. Outside of class, I advocate for more equitable food systems through innovating animal-free alternatives to meat, seafood, egg, and dairy through fermentation-derived proteins, plant-based ingredients, and cell-based cultivation technologies.
