About Emily Wu

Emily earned her B.S in Biochemistry from Nanjing University, and Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology from Tulane University. During her postdoctoral research at Boston University, Emily studied human adipose tissue biology and mouse models of diet induced obesity.Emily began her industrial career at OvaScience, where she conducted experiments using clinical samples, human- and animal-derived ovarian stem cells and mouse surgical implantation models in order to improve understanding of ovarian reproductive biology. Her work at OvaScience supported process and assay development for a mitochondria injection IVF product called AUGMENT, which yielded 40 healthy babies delivered globally. Prior to joining Dewpoint, Emily worked at Pfizer where her drug discovery work directly contributed to the phase I clinical trial of PF-06••••74, as a new molecule entity of CDK4/6 inhibitors for treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension.Emily is currently leading biology efforts in drug discovery in disease areas including cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, neuroscience and rare genetic diseases.
