ABOUT EMILY WIETMARSCHEN
I am a psychotherapist and clinical supervisor with over 7 years of direct clinical experience. My approach to therapy and supervision is direct and authentic with a touch of humor. Licensed in the District of Columbia (LPC), Maryland (LCPC), and Virginia (LPC) Iwith telehealth privileges in Florida. Clinical specialities include trauma, young adults (ages 20-35), parenting, life transitions, emotion regulation (including suicidal ideation and non-suicidal self-injury), LGBTQ+, family relationships and family of origin issues, individuation, socialization, depression, anxiety, and grief. My therapeutic approach consists of interventions of EMDR, DBT, and expressive arts. Currently I am a Clinical Director of a growing private group practice in DC with a mission to create a community of therapists who consult, collaborate, and provide excellent individual and group therapy to adults and couples.
