ABOUT EMILY VEBROSKY-NOLAN
I am a Biologist at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) working as an environmental fate assessor in the Environmental Fate and Effects Division of the Office of Pesticide Programs. My background focuses on aquatic toxicology/environmental chemistry, specifically pesticides and agrochemical impacts. I graduated from Louisiana State University in December of 2018 with my Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences through the College of the Coast & Environment, where I minored in Wetland Science and Management. My dissertation work was a compilation of environmental toxicology and chemistry, fisheries science, and molecular biology techniques. I have experience and expertise in laboratory skills including instrumental analysis such as HPLC and acute toxicity testing on freshwater and estuarine fishes as well as training undergraduate and graduate students on instrument methodology, maintenance, trouble-shooting, and sample analysis.
