ABOUT EMILY TURNBULL

Currently a PhD student with the Exceptional Experiences and Consciousness Studies research group (EECS) at the University of Northampton.I hold a MSc degree in Transpersonal Psychology, Consciousness, and Spirituality. I explore end-of-life experiences, meaning-making, spirituality, and extraordinary human experience through research, writing, and compassionate public communication.My work is concerned with the profound experiences that can arise close to death, including those that may feel spiritual, difficult to explain, or hard to speak about openly. I am especially interested in helping make these experiences more understandable, more discussable, and less isolating for the people who encounter them.Alongside my PhD research, I offer thoughtful, research-informed resources and conversations for those seeking a grounded but open-minded way to explore death, meaning, consciousness, and the unusual experiences that can arise approach the end of life.Additionally, I\'m a seasoned Interior Architect and Designer with over 20 years of experience. I have a deep interest in consciousness, end-of-life experience, and the emotional life of environments, I create spaces that do more than look beautiful — they help people feel held, softened, and changed.My work is especially suited to retreats, healing environments, spiritually minded homes, boutique hospitality, and spaces connected with rest, ritual, transition, and inner life.I have also created The Flea Press, a series of journals designed to say sorry to all the fleas that may have unfortunately crossed paths with us, our cat or our dogs.
