ABOUT EMILY TONNA
I’m a senior at Fordham University studying English Literature with an intended minor in Journalism. At Fordham, I’ve gained hands-on experience in journalism, media communications, and, most importantly, storytelling, both on and off campus.I held the role of Executive Copy Editor at The Fordham Ram, where I edited 20–30 stories weekly to ensure adherence to AP Style and reported on the News and Culture sections. Additionally, I serve as the Head of Print & Publication for Fordham United Student Government’s Communications and Marketing Committee, where I lead a student team that communicates critical campus news and initiatives to the broader student body each week.I also work as a Marketing Assistant Intern at Community Engagement Associates, where I contribute to marketing campaigns for public figures, politicians, small businesses, and authors through social media strategy, press outreach, copywriting, and audience engagement. As I prepare to graduate in May 2026, I’m exploring entry-level opportunities at media and communications-focused organizations where I can grow across reporting, editing, and content creation.
