Overseeing and facilitating the smooth running of Sheffield SU’s democratic spaces - SU Council, Forums and Elections, to ensure that they are open and accessible to all students as well as influential. Working in partnership with staff from across the organisation, as well as with external stakeholders, to ensure that student leaders and campaigners feel supported and empowered to create positive change across their SU, University, the city and on a national scale.Key responsibilities include- Working with other staff across the organisation to support student-led change in all areas of the university experience- Supporting the organisation and delivery of student leader recruitment, including SU elections- Providing support, advice and training for student leaders- Overseeing the development and implementation of effective policy- Line-managing a team of student staff responsible for the administration of relevant democratic processes- Supporting the delivery and outputs of the Student Voice Review- Maintaining strong relationships between the Students’ Union, student activists, the University and external partners where appropriate.
