About Emily Szink
In my current role with ICF, I provide executive media coaching, public speaking and presentation coaching, media relations strategy, and support across ICF’s federal communications and health communications contracts. My approach to executive media coaching is focused on tailored solutions that best serve the participant, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. Drawing upon my extensive background in TV news and media/public relations strategies, I combine executive presence coaching, engaging storytelling exercises, and real-world interview scenarios to help clients best meet their needs. Before joining ICF, I was an award-winning local TV News Anchor who later became a media executive focusing on content strategy and executive media coaching. While on the executive board of FreightWaves, a freight tech startup, I oversaw the building and launch of the first streaming TV network dedicated to transportation and logistics. I also have experience leading crisis communications, media/public relations, and content strategy for a major city police department. In different leadership roles throughout my career, my deep knowledge of media and public relations strategies has allowed me to execute communication and marketing plans that increased business exposure and drove revenue. I am passionate about producing custom video content and understand the importance of utilizing the art of storytelling to help grow brand awareness and share company messaging both internally and externally.
