About me: Working for Stewart, Fletcher and Barrett for over 7 years, I was involved in many aspects of the accountancy practice. I am a qualified chartered accountant and a qualified chartered tax adviser.About Michael Smith Switchgear Ltd and AVW Fabrications: Since leaving practice in 2007, I work as a Finance Director for Michael Smith Switchgear Limited. On the acquisition of AVW Fabrications in 2014, I soon stepped into the Finance Director position for this Company too and modernised the organisation in terms of procedures, accounting, HR and Health & Safety. The natural progression has been to take on the full responsibility for the management of AVW Fabrications Limited as Managing Director in order to move the business forward.Specialisations: As Managing Director of AVW Fabrications, I have the overall responsibility to ensure the business is running smoothly on a day-to-day basis and that we are compliant with relevant legislation.
