At Summit County, sustainability is integrated with the health department. In this role I am focused on advancing policies and programs aligned with the County Council\'s environmental stewardship, sustainability, and climate action priorities. My current projects include- Representing Summit County as an alternate Board member and as the Secretary to the Community Renewable Energy Agency Partnering with Facilities and Public Works to advance energy efficiency in County buildings and build out EV charging infrastructure to support an increasingly electric vehicle fleet and EV adoption in the broader community- Collaborating with partners in community development, planning & zoning, High Valley Transit, and others to advance and align land use and development with the County\'s sustainability, smart growth, and affordable housing needs and goals- Building connections between sustainability and public health, including launching the Climate Change & Public Health Speaker Series
