I am a compassionate and dedicated individual who has worked in job development for the past 7 years. My position entails assisting individuals with returning to employment. It is my goal to assist our clientele in returning to a career that satisfies their needs. The most rewarding part of this position is seeing an individual succeed and achieve their employment goals. Oversees and trains Job Search Technicians and support staff on daily activities. Provides assistance to individuals with composing cover letters, completing applications and following up with potential employers. Completes mock interviews with clients and provides constructive feedback. Contacts potential employers to conduct labor market surveys (in order to determine salary information, educational and experience requirements, and physical demands of employment). Identifies job leads based upon clients’ skills, experience, education and ability. Assists with implementing the Rehabilitation Plans as assigned by Case Managers. Completes administrative tasks such as calendaring and phone calls to all VA clientele. Analyzes clients’ motivation and willingness to participate in vocational rehabilitation. Assisting with developing protocols and procedures to assist in the job search process.
