Hi, I’m Emily Oliver - a passionate master certified coach and trainer.Six years ago, I was my ideal client. I was working in a corporate environment that didn’t align with who I wanted to be. When I felt good, I knew there would be an inevitable low waiting just around the corner. I couldn’t enjoy the present moment, and felt trapped in the highs and lows of corporate life. I knew I had to make a change, but I was scared. I didn’t know where to begin… I didn’t want to live in the same city, and I didn’t want to engage in relationships that no longer served me. I fondly call this period of my life “the quarter-life crisis”.As I looked back on my past, I realized that there were only a few things that truly excited me: namely, the positive psychology courses I took in college and the mindfulness practices that I incorporated into my routine during that time. After some reflection, I realized that I would only feel content if I was helping others. I wanted to teach the science of happiness and help people find fulfillment and joy in their own lives… because I knew what it felt like to live a life devoid of meaning.As I began searching for the perfect place to study, I was referred to Happiness for HumanKind, a company that seemed to guarantee happiness through science and evidence-based programs (rather than promise it). I went on to get my international coaching certification from the Certified Coaches Alliance. I made huge changes in my life. I felt ready.For years, I have been empowering individuals with solution-oriented methods to enhance well-being and relieve symptoms of depression, anxiety, and ADD/ADHD. These methods have helped countless individuals experience sustained fulfillment and joy. Today, I am living my “why” in everything that I do, and I am happier than I have ever been.
