About Emily Morrison
I\'m a non-profit founder and executive with 15 years of leadership in arts and education organizations. A mission-driven leader, keen strategist, and avid connector, I\'ve devoted my career to being a public advocate for the arts. I\'m also a champion of female entrepreneurs and an executive coach for emerging leaders. I was awarded “Founder of the Year” by the Tom Tom Foundation in 2017 and named “Female Business Leader to Watch” in C-ville Weekly’s Power Issue in 2019. As an Executive Coach and Consultant, I mentor business leaders, artists, and educators to help develop inner clarity, navigate complexity, and activate their fullest leadership potential.

The Front Porch is a community music school and concert venue in Charlottesville, Virginia that impacts over people per year. Emily founded The Front Porch on her actual front porch in 2014 and grew it from a grassroots organization to a flourishing non-profit with 50+ employees and a $1 million+ budget. The Front Porch has quickly become an integral part of the arts scene in Charlottesville, teaching music to more than 800 students every week, over half of whom receive free music instruction through community partnerships. TFP hosts hundred of local, regional, and nationally touring musicians per year in bi-weekly concerts for audiences of 100 - 700+. Emily was named “Founder of the Year” by the Tom Tom Foundation in 2017, a “Female Business Leader to Watch” in Cville Weekly’s Power Issue in 2019, and The Front Porch was awarded “Best Place for Music Lessons” by C-ville Weekly in 2022.
