ABOUT EMILY MORRIS
I’m passionate about translating complex genomic data into actionable, patient-centered care. At GenXys, I bring over 12 years of clinical genetics expertise to contribute to the success of precision prescribing, using pharmacogenomics (PGx) and clinical decisions support systems. Previous roles focused on co-leading the psychiatric genetic counselling clinic within the BC Provincial Medical Genetics Program and conducting research focused on patient outcomes and the impact of psychiatric genetic counselling on treatment adherence and the frequency of psychiatric hospitalizations. As a Genomics Education Specialist with UBC, I co-developed the inaugural year of a course designed to up-skill healthcare providers in evidence-based genomic counselling and precision medicine.
