ABOUT EMILY MITCHELL
I am currently undertaking my placement year at NBCUniversal as a PR Intern, transferring my first 2 years of studies at King’s College London into a professional working environment. Within my role, I assist with PR capabilities across NBCUniversal’s International Networks, DTC and Hayu divisions. This placement year allows me to further develop the PR skills I began developing across my 2 previous summer internships at Atom bank. Motorsport has always been my passion, and I aspire to merge my love of the sport with my chosen career path. I am an active member of FIA Girls on Track UK, working closely with them in both voluntary positions and as part of McLaren’s nurture programme. Additionally, I work with Motorsport UK and StreetCar to deliver media and PR coverage at local events. Within my university life, I co-founded KCL Game on Girls, a society dedicated to providing safe, misogyny free spaces for women to connect and watch sports socially. Further, I work closely with the KCL Racing, the university’s Formula Student team as their PR Executive- helping garner sponsorship opportunities and responsible for all internal and external communications. I look forward to continue to develop my experiences within the industry.
