About Emily McDonough
I am a senior at Plymouth State University pursuing a B.S. in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing and Media Studies. Throughout my academic career, I have consistently earned a place on the President’s List, reflecting my strong work ethic, dedication, and commitment to excellence.In addition to my studies, I am a student-athlete on the Plymouth State Women’s Soccer Team, where I am honored to serve as Team Captain. Competing at the collegiate level has sharpened my skills in time management, teamwork, and leadership, while also teaching me resilience and determination in the face of challenges including overcoming multiple injuries during my playing career. I have gone through three knee surgeries over the course of my time on the soccer team. Sitting on the sidelines and not physcially being able to do what I love was one of the hardest things I have had to overcome especially not knowing if I would ever step on the field again. By staying patient, optomistic, and determined in rehab I now not only get to step on the field to compete again, but I have gained so much knowledge and have learned skills that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Overal, I have learned that you can get through adversirty and staying devoted to what you are passionate about truly pays off! I am passionate about bringing the same drive, discipline, and collaborative mindset that I apply on the field and in the classroom into professional opportunities. I have done this in different ways both at my summer time job at Spinellis Function Facility and also the Internship I completed last semester at Plymouth State University where I was a Marketing Intern for the Music, Theture, and Art majors.
