About Emily Lesher
I am an educator and PhD Environmental Geochemist with expertise in aquatic chemistry, surface chemistry, and fate and transport of metals in impacted aquatic environments. I have taught environmental science and chemistry courses at a variety of levels (from middle school to graduate students!) I have experience in curriculum development, accreditation, grant writing, analytical methods development, experimental design, data analysis, and communication of results.Specialties: Fate of metals, radionuclides, and metal-bearing nanoparticles in the environment. Development of methods for characterizing metal-organic interactions and metal-particle adsorption. Characterization of nanomaterials and metal- colloid complexes for toxicity, fate, and transport experiments. Development of detection and characterization methods of nanomaterials.
