Providing pragmatic and commercial legal advice, I have over 15 years\' experience in construction. I act for developers, funders, contractors, sub-contractors, insurers and construction professionals on domestic and international projects.I have experience of a wide range of dispute resolution procedure, such as arbitration under the ICC rules, adjudication, mediation and litigation in the Technology and Construction Court. I manage disputes for clients and drive a matter to a suitable resolution if this is achievable. I also provide risk management / dispute avoidance advice to clients and deliver workshops on this topic, as well as acting on the pre-action stages of potential disputes to manage the escalation of issues for a client\'s business. I have presented at various industry / client events (both in the UK and internationally - with a particular focus on Germany and Austria) on a number of different areas, including on professional indemnity issues and the FIDIC suite of contracts. I previously completed a secondment in the Finex team at Willis Towers Watson, managing construction and solicitor professional indemnity claims for insureds on projects in the UK and internationally.
