About Emily Larose
Hi! I’m Emily, a clinical dietitian turned nutrition and global health expert who loves facilitating big brainstorms, designing user-friendly toolkits, conducting interactive training sessions, and leading reflection and mapping activities that help teams ask better questions, check assumptions, and identify learnings. My 20+ year career as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) has spanned clinical dietetics, public health, and academia. Much of my work has focused on ensuring optimal nutrition delivery for pregnant women, infants, and young children. My primary career goal has always been to feed people, and I am dedicated to ensuring everyone has access to safe, nutritious food. Now self-employed, I collaborate with healthcare organizations on health- and nutrition-related initiatives to get projects unstuck, design programs, and conduct applied research to move ideas and projects forward. I am endlessly curious and ask a lot of questions to better understand context, explore how and why things work (or don’t), and identify what we know and what we need to learn. I believe there is always room for improvement.A mentor described my (work-related) superpowers best: creating order in chaos and making sense of messy information. At home, I’m a good cook and baker on an endless journey to adapt my US recipes to work using French ingredients.Let’s work together to make the world a better, healthier, and more equitable place.
