As a paralegal, I have worked in employment law, tax law, probate litigation, personal injury, and family law in which I have drafted legal memorandums, conducted legal research, drafted pleadings, discovery, and correspondence, utilized strategic California and Federal Civil Procedure practices, calendared via Google Calendar and Compulaw, followed up on court filings, state and federal filings via OneLegal and GreenFiling, assisted calls with customer service, updated current clients about their case status, client intake via Practice Panther, consultation scheduling, and greeted clients among other tasks.Previous Experience:While attending college, I was involved in various media internships, including the Carsey-Wolf Media internship, and also interned for KCSB 91.9 FM, UC Santa Barbara’s local news radio station. I also interned for the Santa Barbara Independent as a Court Reporter; these various political journalism internships led to my first position. In 2012, I worked for the College Republican National Committee in New Hampshire, and in this role, I recruited, organized, and trained volunteers in the western portion of the state as a CRNC field representative. I coordinated with CRs to GOTV for the congressional, gubernatorial, and presidential campaigns in the 2012 election. Following the election, I moved to Virginia and accepted a position as an intern for the National Journalism Center. As part of the internship, I worked as a Production Assistant for Radio America where I completed an investigative piece as a part of the program and also interned for the Dr. Joy Browne Show. Following Radio America, I interned for Eagle Financial Publications Group, where I edited e-letters, investment newsletters, and other reports for Eagle’s financial gurus as well as updated the gurus\' stock portfolios.After completing various journalism positions, I accepted a position as a Field Representative for Texans for Greg Abbott and lived in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, where I recruited volunteers in Denton County, Texas.I lived in Manchester, New Hampshire, and worked as a Field Representative for Commitments Kept NH, a project of the Ending Spending Action Fund, to reelect Senator Kelly Ayotte. I worked for the U.S. Census Bureau and have transitioned into the paralegal profession.
