About Emily Kade
Dr. Emily Kade completed her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology within the Neuropsychology Track at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. She completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in Neuropsychology with the Arizona Psychology Training Consortium. She completed one year of APA-accredited internship training at Truman Medical Centers, an academic hospital acute care behavioral health inpatient unit, providing trauma-informed treatment, crisis intervention, and psychological evaluations while integrating care within an interdisciplinary medical team. Dr. Kade has a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Midwestern University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with honors from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. Dr. Kade has significant experience conducting neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessment services for children, adolescents, and adults. Her primary training is in pediatric assessment working with children with ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, giftedness, anxiety, and behavioral or mood disorders. Dr. Kade completed certified training in the ADOS-2 and has experience providing treatment and care to children with autism, mood, and behavioral disorders within a pediatric psychiatric inpatient hospital setting. In addition, Dr. Kade has worked with adult and geriatric populations providing neuropsychological assessment services to patients with neurocognitive impairment due to traumatic brain injury (TBI), progressive dementia (Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Vascular, FrontoTemporal dementia), seizure disorder/epilepsy, stroke, and/or comorbid medical conditions. Dr. Kade has received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivation Interviewing, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She has worked with patients with major depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, substance abuse disorders, serious mental illness, adjustment disorders, intellectual disability, and personality disorders. Dr. Kade is passionate about helping patients gain a holistic understanding of the relationship between brain functioning in relation to problematic cognitive, emotional, and/or behavioral concerns. Dr. Kade believes in using neuropsychological assessment as a starting point to collaboratively determine the most effective way to navigate treatment and intervention to help children, adults, and families develop and maintain an optimal life.
