About Emily J. Harris
Disability inclusion is a personal and professional passion, and I am honored to work with national leaders in philanthropy to create the Disability & Philanthropy Forum, an emerging organization focused on advancing disability inclusion in the philanthropic sector. I am proud be part of the disability community and to have collaborated with the Chicago Community Trust and Chicago\'s disability community leaders to found Disability Lead, the nation\'s only independent non-profit focused on civic leadership by people with disabilities. I also was privileged to lead the Burnham Plan Centennial focused on metropolitan Chicago\'s future, promote disability rights and inclusion through ADA 25 Chicago, and create a next century conservation plan for the Forest Preserves of Cook County. The common thread is my passion for equity, urban living, social justice and conservation, and my commitment to setting collective agendas and getting things done.
