Emily is an experienced and energetic senior executive, entrepreneur and former strategy consultant.She currently leads Sollos, Universal Music Group’s music-centric wellness venture that uses cognitive science and proprietary audio technology to help people focus, relax and sleep better.Throughout her career, Emily has blended a background in business strategy with creative content, technology and a lifelong love for music.During the pandemic, Emily founded a pioneering online concerts platform that enabled independent musicians to connect with their fans and grow digital revenues.Before that, Emily led the turnaround and sale of Elite Daily, a US online news business, and built new strategic growth businesses at The Economist Group. She started her career in strategy consulting at the Boston Consulting Group.Emily is fluent in English and Cantonese, and proficient in Mandarin. She has led cross-disciplinary, global teams while working in London and New York City. She grew up in Sydney, Australia.In parallel, Emily is an experienced board trustee of leading arts organisations: Aurora Orchestra (2013-19) and City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (20••••25).
