Crawley Open House is a homelessness charity based in Crawley, West Sussex. We provide 57 beds across our Residential Services, as well as a Day Service that welcomes on average of 65 people each day. This includes individuals who are street homeless, insecurely housed, and those facing other forms of social exclusion. I manage and lead a team responsible for providing support and services to all non-residential Crawley Open House clients, including those accessing the Resource Centre and the Street Community Outreach Team.My role includes overseeing a hub of multi-agency working to ensure the best outcomes for service users. This involves managing our busy open access/drop-in provision, strategising a programme of purposeful activity to promote health care, employability, and wellbeing, and coordination of our visiting agencies such as our nurses, dentists, specialist women’s workers, and our sexual health partners. I directly line manage a team of eight specialist staff, including a Peer Supervisor who is working to embed our new Peer Support Programme.
