ABOUT EMILY HUMPHREYS
Passionate about advancing female football participation and improving understanding of key health and performance factors in the women’s game - particularly the impact of maturation and the menstrual cycle on performance and injury risk.An enthusiastic MSc Sport, Health & Exercise Science graduate from the University of South Wales, holding an Upper Second-Class Honours undergraduate honours degree from Cardiff Metropolitan University. My academic background is supported by hands-on experience using sport science laboratory technologies including gas analysers, VALD and CODAmotion, alongside data analysis tools such as SPSS, VICON Nexus and NUTRICS.Football has been a central part of my life for over 15 years, with experience across Glamorgan County, BGC Wales, the FAW Trust Girls’ Gwent Football Performance Centre, the Welsh Women’s Premier League, BUCS and the Welsh Women’s League.Currently employed by Cardiff City as a Women’s U19 and U13 Lead Strength & Conditioning Coach while also working within the FAW Football Services Centre as a Football Services Executive.Alongside my work in sport, I bring additional experience in retail management, the build-to-rent sector and entrepreneurship through my ownership of @solesbysloth
