ABOUT EMILY HOOPER
During my four years studying Law at Cardiff University I have developed a keen interest in Intellectual Property Law. Having always wanted to combine two of my passions, art and law, my masters specialising in IP Law has enabled me to delve deeper into the relationship between the two. I would like to use the knowledge that I have acquired over my time at university either to provide legal advice to individuals in need, or to work in the Intellectual Property field, specialising in art law. While at Cardiff University I participated in the legal volunteer project Living With Asperger’s, and was able to put into practice the legal knowledge I had gained from studying discrimination law. I worked on a case where we argued that the defendant company had not provided reasonable adjustments for a person living with Asperger’s, as required by the Equality Act 2010. This volunteer work enabled me to use my legal knowledge in a real-world case to help someone who had suffered discrimination.
