Main Responsibilties- Ensure all supplied artwork is print ready such as trapping, adding varnishes, making sure the file is set up properly regarding overprinting and the layers and colours are correct- Resetting EAN and 2D Barcodes- Changing artwork as per the Customer Service Executives or Reps- Creating cutters to send to the artwork houses to build their artwork in - Provide and artwork/repro provision across labels, board and film- Ensure I meet the requirements and standards internally and externally - Work mainly in Esko PackEdge, Esko Backstage as well as Illustrator, Photoshop and Dupont Cromalin Software- Ensure corporate and artwork guidelines are followedDuring this role I am working a 12 hour triple shift pattern (continentals) to reflect the print presses. I have a strong knowledge of the print processes having spent a full week on self adhesive and linerless presses. I spent time from the process at the beginning in the plate room; making the plates, through to pre-press, wash off on press, printing then adding glue patterns (if linerless) on the coaters and rewind.
