About Emily Duncan
I am dual-LCSW licensed for TN and KY, and have also obtained my Out of State Telehealth Provider Certification from the Florida Department of Health. This means I can practice with clients living in any of those three states and I’m so excited to widen my reach while narrowing my scope of practice! Background: I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at The University of Mississippi in 2015. I then attended graduate school and earned my Master of Social Work degree from Western Kentucky University in 2019. Combining my internship and employment, I have provided psychotherapy services for children, adolescents, teens, and adults for over four years. Fast forward to present day: After marrying my best friend in October 2021, we moved from our hometown of Bowling Green, Kentucky to the Bellevue area of Nashville, Tennessee in order to be closer to my husband’s job in downtown Franklin. The beauty of telehealth allowed me to keep my Wilson Counseling therapy job and continue working with those clients as we planned a wedding, house-hunted, married, moved, and got situated. Being removed from the physical presence of my coworkers challenged me in ways that only furthered my growth and inspired me to try this private practice thing! So now, here I am offering telehealth services to those who simply feel like something is “off.” Some call it anxiety. Some call it overwhelmed, burnt out, stressed, off balance, nerves shot, what have you. Let me guide you through your feelings and help you navigate your way to a more peaceful life.
