About Emily Hayes

Emily Hayes was directly admitted to The University of Iowa’s Tippie College of Business. During her time at the University of Iowa, she was a member of Alpha Kappa Psi where she served on the executive board. In 2022, After interning on Capitol Hill, she joined the office’s communications team until the closing of the office in January of 2023. During her time, she worked alongside the Member directly and in coordination with her colleagues to expand the Member’s already extensive national platform and deliver direct results to the district. Her time was marked by highly publicized hearings, the Russian invasion of Ukraine in which her boss was the most outspoken member of Congress opposing Russia, and closing down a decade old office.In January of 2023, she joined a non-profit as a national communications advisor, serving as one of the senior advisors for an organization active in every region of the country. Emily managed media opportunities and engaged volunteers in the creation of a weekly newsletter. In August of 2023, Emily joined the Aerospace Industries Association and serves as the senior manager of media relations. There, she works alongside the international, national security policy, and legislative affairs divisions where she provides strategic communications inputs and executes the external and media engagements for the teams.Emily graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in economics.
