ABOUT EMILY HAY
I am currently working as literacy lead (KS1/KS2) at The London Scandinavian School. Prior to this, I worked as a year 1 class teacher at Moor Allerton Prepartory School in West Didsbury. My other teaching experience includes being employed as a humanities teacher at Teenage Works, an alternative provision service in Manchester. Before that, I was working as an instructional support teacher at the High School for Environmental Studies in New York City [2020/2021]; and enlisted as a Fulbright Fellow (English Teaching Assistant) in Sabah, Borneo, Malaysia for the United States Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs [2020]. In 2022 I completed a Master\'s of Arts in Education program at the University of Nottingham. I have a Bachelor\'s degree in Adolescent Education/Special Education with a concentration in English/Literature. I hold two initial teacher\'s licenses from the state of New York (Classroom Teacher, ELA Grades 7-12 / Students with Disabilities, Generalist).
