About Emily Hausheer
Dedicated to building a global network of democracy supporters. Experienced foreign policy professional specializing in unifying democracy supporters. While interning at the US Embassy in Paris in 2016, and glancing over the research I conducted- my mind flooded with memories of what brought me to this career path of both human rights and foreign policy. My whole life I had a sense of justice motivating me to speak out when I saw unfair treatment. My imagination was captivated by stories I read growing up into learning more about the human rights and civics space. I devoured books throughout my schooldays on all topics pertaining to democracy and the legislative process. Upon finishing my undergrad, I embarked on a journey to Paris, France where I accepted an internship at the US Embassy in Paris. During this internship I communicated in a bilingual fashion, and delved into the French archives conducting research for the embassy. Upon returning to the United States, I took these skills of research, French, and organization back with me as I interned in the Library of Congress and on Capitol Hill. Upon achieving my Masters\' degree in Human Rights in 2020, I searched for any tasks I can do to help in the Human Rights space. I begun translating tweets about political prisoners in authoritarian regimes to amplify their messages for the international community. Social media strategies as well as writing are crafts which can be utilized for many purposes but especially the purpose of spreading messages.
