At Nilo, we are targeting neural circuits that control the immune system to treat autoimmune and inflammatory disorders. I am passionate about working at the intersection of scientific research and business strategy. I bring a working knowledge of drug development built through over two years of biotech research experience and completion of ICH/GCP training. I have comprehensive scientific expertise across multiple therapeutic areas, particularly in Immunology & Inflammation, developed through research experience and my Master’s degree in Medical Sciences. In addition, I have more than five years of cross-functional project management experience. I have a proven ability to set impactful project priorities, manage external partnerships and stakeholder relationships, and execute deliverables on-time and within budget. I am skilled at translating complex scientific data into actionable insights and communicating recommendations for project task prioritization, risk mitigation, and decision-making. As a skilled science communicator and storyteller, I have presented research findings at company Board meetings and to external stakeholders and collaborators. I presented my graduate research at prestigious conferences like the Keystone Symposium B cell-T cell Collaboration. I received several funding awards through my MSc and have co-authored multiple high-impact publications. I was also a top 10 finalist for the 2021 McMaster Student Union Teaching Awards as a Graduate TA for Introductory Immunology.From the bench, I have developed and executed assays to screen compounds, uncover novel biology, and de-risk therapeutic approaches. With 6 years of research experience across biotech industry and academia, I have strong expertise in T cell and B cell biology and cell-to-cell interactions. My skill set includes in vivo disease models, multicolour flow cytometry, and cell culture with human and mouse cells.
