As the Associate Director of Fraud Detection Strategy at Verizon, I lead a team responsible for anomaly detection and fraud alarm strategy across all sales channels for both Consumer and Business groups. We work closely with our IT partners to develop, refine, and monitor alarm logic - ensuring our strategy is responsive to emerging fraud trends, grounded in strong data, and effective across a constantly evolving threat landscape.We also manage the vendor partnerships behind our detection logic - ensuring the external data signals we rely on are accurate, timely, and aligned with our evolving strategy. It’s a mix of fraud intelligence, technical collaboration, and thoughtful prioritization to ensure we’re solving the right problems without creating unnecessary friction for good customers.That work builds upon over a decade of experience across fraud analytics, financial operations, internal audit, and Big 4 public accounting. Backed by CPA, CIA, and PMP certifications, I bring a data-driven approach to solving problems, reducing risk, and aligning stakeholders around smart, scalable solutions.Before stepping into the world of finance, I worked in hospitality - fast-paced, people-first environments that taught me how to stay adaptable, tune into what others need, and keep smiling (even when you’re in the weeds ).
