About Emily Gibson
I began my career as an interior designer, specializing in workplace and K–12 school design that foster creativity, collaboration, and learning. Over time, I realized that while designing environments was meaningful, I wanted to be in those environments, connecting directly with the people they serve. That realization led me to a fulfilling career shift to get into teaching K–8 visual arts. I bring the same passion for creativity, function, and human-centered design into the classroom. My goal is to help students discover their unique voices through art, feel seen and heard, and gain the confidence to express themselves authentically. I believe that art is more than a subject, that it is a tool for connection, self-awareness, and empowerment.Whether I’m encouraging a kindergartener to take their first creative risk or guiding a middle schooler to explore identity through mixed media, I aim to make art accessible, meaningful, and joyful for every student.
