Working in a small team, my role is to use various computer systems to complete successful cab radio swap outs for trains throughout the UK. Communicating with onsite engineers to assist them in the smooth transition from old versions to the new version radios. This is part of an ongoing project to update all radios to a new software which will improve the running of trains and help maintain safety of all our staff and passengers. I am interested in learning new systems within the company and have spent time with other Technicians who have shown me further programmes and it has broadened my understanding of how the network runs. This has given me a base on which I would like to further improve my skills and expand my knowledge to progress within Network Rail.
