Emily is a passionate health and benefits professional residing in Charlotte, NC. She has over 18 years of career experience from a variety of settings, which has aided in the development in her proficient expertise in the health, productivity, culture, wellness & business growth. As a native of Virginia, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion and continued to earn her Masters of Public Health from Virginia Tech. At First Stop Health, Emily is responsible for supporting ARR growth across mid-size and enterprise level clients by fostering new broker and consultant relationships, establishing national, formal partnerships with key firms & alliances, as well as strengthening existing relationships with high performing offices. She oversees a team of 8 Sales Directors sprinkled across the southeast.Previously, her role at Accolade had her identifying and retaining business relationships, educating and building trust with brokers, and developing and executing strategies to generate the stewardship of the company’s growth in new sales and business development. Emily previously served as the Director of Sales at Vitality Group, as Health & Welfare Consultant with Duke Energy, and similarly as a Senior Wellness Analyst for Lowe’s prior to that. Under these Total Rewards teams, Emily specifically strived to deploy innovative strategies to engage employees and promote wellbeing in the workplace by designing and deploying benefit programs in medical, condition care, wellness, financial, and the overall employee experience. She built relationships with key stakeholders, insurance companies and other service providers. Her time as a National Practice Benefits Specialty Consultant for Wells Fargo Insurance was spent using in-depth knowledge of the insurance business to plan, design, and evaluate comprehensive population health management programs for all-sized clients’ nation-wide. Emily earned her Certified Health Education Specialist credential in April of 2019. She also holds her Health & Life Insurance License in the state of North Carolina from November of 2015. She has gained numerous fitness certifications that aid in her side profession as a group exercise instructor for the YMCA. Spare time is spent rooting for college football, stroller rides with her son, or traveling the world with her husband, Ryan. Amidst the pandemic, she launched her own YouTube channel featuring free workouts and fitness sessions. She also recently authored her first child’s book, Papayo: The Peruvian Puppy.Emily enjoys public speaking & events coordination.
