   I supervise two undergraduate student employees in the basics of caring for archival collections and instruct them in general practices for arrangement and description of collections. Some of my undergraduates work with digitizing collections. My graduate students work with me on larger projects such as digitizing and creating the metadata for entire collections. Each of my graduate students has a particular project that they must complete each year. We decide on this project together, create the scope of work and a plan to manage that work. The University Archives collects not only the institutional history of Delta State University but also the history of the Mississippi Delta. From textiles and objects to photographs and letters, the collections of the MS Delta offer great research and scholarly publication potential. I am also the curator for the \"Dave \'Boo\' Ferriss Baseball Museum\" located at Ferriss Field. The museum is open an hour before every home baseball game and between double-headers or by calling the Archives office for an appointment. The Mississippi Delta Chinese Experience is a permanent exhibit on the 3rd floor of the Capps Archives & Museum building. This exhibit features the story of many sojourners who traveled to the MS Delta and for one reason or another decided to make this region their home. The MS Delta Chinese have a rich history and this exhibit explores some of these stories.
