About Emily Durning

Hi, I\'m Emily! I recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a BS in Data Science and minors in Computer Science and Political Science. I am currently working full time for the university as a Research and Administrative Assistant for the new Hub of AI and Data Science Leadership. Summer of 2025, I interned at Core Natural Resources as a Cloud and Data Solutions Intern. I gained experience with AWS services while expanding my understanding of data engineering. In 2024 I was a Technology intern at PNC Financial Services, working within the Retail Technology department. This experience taught me about full stack development and introduced me to tools such as Tableau. During my college career I was an undergraduate peer tutor for SCI, was a Student Liaison for RDS@Pitt, completed the Responsible Data Science Student Scholars Fellowship, and earned Dean\'s List recognition every semester. Outside of work I enjoy reading; my goal for this year is 45 books!
