About Emily Derecktor
I’m the founder of Cereal for Dinner, a social enterprise that supports people living with persistent mental health challenges in reconnecting with routine, purpose, and belonging. My work spans systems consulting, program development, and one-on-one coaching — always grounded in both professional expertise and deep lived experience.Beyond my own venture, I have worked extensively with behavioral health organizations and startups, helping to design programs, strengthen care navigation, and develop human-centered solutions that reflect the realities of those most affected. With graduate training in medical sciences and population health, I bring the ability to translate research and policy into practical, equity-focused strategies that improve both systems and daily lives. My mission is to advance recovery-oriented systems that are centered on lived experience, self-determination, and community. I’m especially committed to serving diverse and underserved populations, with a focus on equity, social justice, and ensuring that people living with mental health challenges are not just at the table but shaping the solutions.Core strengths: • Behavioral health systems consulting (organizations & startups) • Program development & curriculum creation • Care navigation & resource planning • Peer-informed coaching (ACT/DBT-based) • Stakeholder engagement & partnership building
