There’s something magical that happens when you slam a sledge hammer down on bathroom tile breaking it into tiny pieces and haul it to the dumpster. It’s that feeling that you are about to rebuild that bathroom into something beautiful.I’ve always been one for hard work and firmly believe the best kind of work is when you get to do something you love. For me, love and work have only gone in the same sentence regarding two things, renovating houses and transforming data into powerful insights. In my life I’ve held roles in sales, marketing, and analytics. Sales gave me grit. Marketing gave me attention to detail. Analytics gave me the most valuable of all, passion.Something changed within me when I moved into my Data Analyst role. I began really caring about the work I produced. I asked myself, “How could I make this process better?” I educated myself so I could turn out higher quality projects. Most importantly, I loved what I did every minute of the way. Once I realized I had stumbled across that unicorn (a career doing what I love), I knew I had to dive in deeper. I enrolled in Galvanize’s Data Science Immersive program and packed my bags for Denver where I challenge myself daily, learning predictive modeling so I can make a meaningful impact on the bottom line.I\'m currently pursing a career as a data scientist and would love to talk data with you.
