About Emily Barkdull
I am currently a student at Indiana University pursuing a dual major in Merchandising and Creative Media Advertising. Through my coursework, internships, and extracurricular activities, I have developed a strong foundation in marketing, merchandising, and advertising. At IU, I have had the opportunity to build and develop analytical, communication, creative, and technical skills. As a student studying merchandising, developing these skills will help me understand the retail industry and analyze consumer behavior and market trends effectively. I have completed internships at CHANEL and Glow Recipe where I was able to leverage my skills and create new ones. I am an active member of several organizations, including the Retail Studies Organization, Women in Media, and Report the World IU. Through these groups, I have participated in networking events, guest speaker series, and hands-on workshops that have helped me develop my leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. I am excited to continue to gain more skills and explore new opportunities as my career grows!
