About Emily Anderson

I have considerable knowledge in multiple domains in both computer and life sciences. I offer over 10 years of computational and laboratory experience in wide variety of fields including bioinformatics, genetics, and molecular biology. Further, I have extensive experience in the analyze of multidimension datasets, next generation sequencing and single cell sequencing for cancer and neurology. My interests include improving the understanding of molecular biology through bioinformatics to improve personalized medicine. To this end, I am committed to computational analyze of genetic and age related disorders. I received my PhD in 2018, where I developed a methods for spatially resolved single cell sequencing. This work resulted a publication in Cell, which showcased this method and utilized the my research to better intratumor heterogeneity in early stage breast cancer. As Postdoctoral Associate at Baylor College of Medicine, I worked in the Huffington Center on Aging, where I used computational and molecular biology methods to examine genes that influence development and aging of the retina. At MD Anderson, I work as a Senior Data Scientist in Cellular Imaging Core. I work on data multi-omics imaging data analysis and the experimental protocols from design to data analysis providing end-to-end support.
